Steve DeVaughan became Manager of Cedar Hills January 1, 2024. However, Steve is not new to Cedar Hills. For many years he has been a camp sponsor for hundreds of kids (including his own) that have visited Cedar Hills with his Church, The Binger Baptist Church in Binger, OK. This is where Steve and his wife Clarissa both fell in love with Cedar Hills. They are both very passionate about Cedar Hills and grateful for the opportunity to serve at one of the premier youth camps in Oklahoma.
Steve and his wife Clarissa have four sons, Isaac, Ian, Brody, Jake and one daughter Teagan, two daughter in-law’s Ashlee and Jaelynn DeVaughan and three grandson’s Capulin, Cyrus and Easton DeVaughan. Steve and his family have lived and served in the Binger community his entire life.
Steve is in the process of wrapping up a career with the United States Federal Bureau of Prisons. He currently works at the Federal Prison in El Reno, OK where he is the Reentry Affairs Coordinator. In addition, Steve has served his community as a member city council since 1999. Steve and Clarissa are currently the Youth Director’s at the Binger Baptist Church.
Clarissa will be the Cafeteria Services Coordinator. In addition to being Steve’s wife and the mother of 5 children and 3 grandchildren, she also works as an Administrative Assistant at the Ft. Cobb-Broxton Public Schools and along with Steve, serves as the Youth Director at the Baptist Church in Binger, OK.
